About the Artist
Elements by Shana Yellow Calf Lukinich offers acrylic paintings on wood carvings in traditional Plains, Northwest, and Metis indigenous styles, as well as custom furniture, wall art, and crafts. Some of her pieces were recently featured in November 2019 at the SOIL Gallery in Seattle, WA as part of a Native American exhibit, where she was one of three female Native American artists showcasing contemporary art. She is listed in the US Department of the Interior Indian Arts and Crafts Board's IACB Source Directory, and was a virtual exhibitor at the American Indian National Conference in November. Shana is an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe in Wyoming and is a descendant of Chief Yellow Calf. She also shares her mother's Metis heritage (Chippewa/Cree).
